My least favourite stage of the portrait. When i finished this, I longed to move on to the render, but I was good and let it be!

Wednesday – Blending

Blending is my favourite part of any portrait, and took the longest so far. It’s really rewarding to start rendering those shapes together! I also used a colour layer to add any colours that fell outside of the original peach spectrum, including the blush of the cheeks and some shadows on bony areas of the face – which tend to lean into blue/green. A challenge i faced in this stage was not to let myself get run into the details, particularly in the hair, which i know will come later.
